Rafiki Terms of Service
Who we are
Rafiki is run by Rafiki Labs LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Rafiki," "we," "us"). These Terms cover the Rafiki app and website at rafikiwild.com. Questions: tom@rafikiwild.com.
Agreeing to these Terms
By signing in or using Rafiki, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be 18 or older. If you use Rafiki for a ranch or business, you're agreeing for it too.
Prices are estimates
Rafiki shows prices based on real sales, including auctions and private sales. They are estimates to help you get a feel for the market. They are not appraisals, offers, or financial, legal, tax, or lending advice, and they can be wrong or out of date, especially for species with few sales. Don't rely on them alone for a big decision. If you spot a wrong price, tell us and we'll look at it.
The Exchange
The Exchange is a place for buyers and sellers to find each other. Rafiki is not a party to any sale. We don't own the animals, hold money, inspect animals, or check listings, and we don't guarantee any buyer, seller, animal, or deal. Buyers and sellers handle price, payment, health papers, transport, and permits between themselves.
If you list animals, you confirm that you own them (or are authorized to sell them), that your listing is accurate, and that you hold any required permits and follow all wildlife, animal-health, and transport laws.
Not allowed on the Exchange: illegal or protected species without the required permits, native Texas game animals, dangerous animals, animals under quarantine or movement restrictions, and fake or misleading listings. We may remove any listing or suspend any account at any time.
Your account and text codes
You sign in with your phone number and a one-time code we send by text. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts (you won't be able to sign in by text until you start them again). Keep your phone secure; you're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account anytime in the app.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post (listings, photos, herd info, sales you record). You give us permission to store and display it to run Rafiki, including showing your listings to other users. We may also use sale prices you share, without your name, in our price estimates.
Please don't
Don't scrape, copy, or resell Rafiki's price data or content, don't misuse the service or other users, and don't break the law using Rafiki.
Changes to Rafiki
We may change, pause, or end any part of Rafiki at any time.
No warranties
Rafiki is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Rafiki Labs LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or anything arising from animals or deals between users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100. Any claim must be brought within 2 years after it arises.
Your deals are your responsibility
If someone makes a claim against us because of your animals, your listings, your deals, or your breaking these Terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim.
Texas law
These Terms are governed by Texas law. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Bastrop County, Texas.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll post the new version with a new date, and if you keep using Rafiki after that, you accept the update.
